2020 High School Master Class Competition
The Oklahoma Flute Society announces the following upcoming Flute Competitions to be held at Flute Fair 2020.
The Entry Deadline is Friday, Jan 17, 2020, 11:59 p.m., C.S.T.
The Master Class Competition is open to flutists who are high school students enrolled in any high school, grades 9-12. Entrants must be current OFS members and register for Flute Fair. There is no additional entry fee for the competition and no limit on the number of times a student can participate in this event.
The High School Master Class Competition requires a preliminary recording round. The repertoire for this is a piece of your choice for Unaccompanied Flute or Flute and Piano. The piece should not exceed 10 minutes in length.
OFS will choose up to four (4) flutists from the preliminary recording round to perform their solo in a master class with a guest artist at the Oklahoma Flute Fair on the Sunday of Flute Fair.

Multi-movement works are acceptable, but must be recorded as a live performance without stopping the recording between movements. Time between movements is included in the 10-minute total. Single movements or selected movements (recorded without pause) are also allowed. Recordings must not be edited in any way. Recording with accompaniment is optional, but encouraged. No cuts allowed in the flute part, however, cuts in the piano introduction/interludes are acceptable. Repeated sections marked by dot repeats or first/second endings are at the performer’s discretion.
